Monitor inbound Sales Orders from customers and perform route planning functions in line with our logistics process.
Ensure the fleet is maintained and all vehicles and drivers are compliant with all Hazchem and licensing requirements.
Supervise warehouse staff to ensure stock picked is accurate, clean, undamaged and process is in line with our procedures.
Perform accurate load master functions for logistics as required and in line with relevant processes and instructions.
Ensure drivers and delivery staff perform functions within correct timelines and in line with relevant procedures.
Be available after hours to resolve fleet and security issues as required.
Perform task accurately and according to process with required documentation for Interbranch outbound stock movement / returns.
Check and receive in stock via IBT from KZN and JHB. Ensure all stock is received according to paperwork quantities and is undamaged. Report all damages or incorrect quantities in line with process.
Perform repack / rework function to convert damages to sellable stock.
Pack away and store stock in the correct / bin locations. Ensure stock is rotated according to FIFO first in first out to avoid old or unsellable stock having to be returned.
Maintain housekeeping in the yard warehouse dispatch and receiving.
Manage building / facility for maintenance, repairs and compliance.
Supervise staff and ensure all staff comply with relevant health and safety.
To limit risk, ensure all flammable stock is packed away in the flammable store and only moved to logistics when vehicles are being loaded for dispatch.
Assist with the stock take planning, readiness and stock take function. Stock takes must be accurate with stock neat and in the correct bin locations.
Raise Non conformances in ISO on product and process.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KEY SKILLS

Minimum 4 years experience in a warehouse management position
Understanding of hazardous goods and the associated risks
A high school matric qualification and relevant warehouse / operation management qualifications.
Mathematical ability for basic calculations and decimal points
Forklift licence.
Ability to perform consistent and accurate tasks
