Warehouse Manager | Cape Town | Tiling and building industry

We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee our clients warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring efficient warehouse processes. Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management - Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and implement inventory control procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency
Logistics Coordination - Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, liaise with suppliers and carriers, and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
Team Leadership - Supervise warehouse staff, provide training, and foster a positive work environment to maximize team productivity and morale
Liaise with agencies to arrange temp drivers
Safety Compliance - Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and implement safety training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel
Process Improvement - Identify areas for process improvement, implement best practices, and streamline warehouse operations to enhance productivity and reduce costs
Quality Assurance - Maintain product quality standards, conduct quality inspections, and address any issues related to product damage or defects
Reporting - Generate regular reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, shipping and receiving, and operational performance metrics

Minimum requirements

Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Proven experience in warehouse management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Kerridge warehouse management software and MS Office Suite
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Salary : Negotiable based on candidate qualifications, skills and years of experience
