Warehouse Manager | Cape Town | Tiling and building industry
We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee our clients warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring efficient warehouse processes. Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management - Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and implement inventory control procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency
- Logistics Coordination - Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, liaise with suppliers and carriers, and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
- Team Leadership - Supervise warehouse staff, provide training, and foster a positive work environment to maximize team productivity and morale
- Liaise with agencies to arrange temp drivers
- Safety Compliance - Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and implement safety training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel
- Process Improvement - Identify areas for process improvement, implement best practices, and streamline warehouse operations to enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Quality Assurance - Maintain product quality standards, conduct quality inspections, and address any issues related to product damage or defects
- Reporting - Generate regular reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, shipping and receiving, and operational performance metrics
Minimum requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience in warehouse management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Kerridge warehouse management software and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
