Our client, a telecommunications specialist, is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their team in Midrand . Warehouse Operations Management: • Ensuring the warehouse is organized and operates in compliance with local regulations and internal policies. • Overseing the efficient layout and utilization of the warehouse space to optimize operations and safety. • Driving the accuracy and functionality of warehouse activities being recorded in Odoo and/or other related software systems. Stock Control and Coordination: • Managing all aspects of stock control, including receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods. • Collaborating closely with the finance and sales departments to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. • Implementing and overseeing a rigorous process of stock audits and regular reporting. Team Leadership and Development : • Leading, managing, mentoring, developing and performance manage the warehouse team to ensure high performance and effective operational management. • Delegating tasks effectively, set clear expectations, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure high performance and professional growth within the team. • Drafting and implement measurable KPIs for team members. • Managing the performance of the team members and invest in their growth. • Organizing training sessions for warehouse employees on operational procedures and the use of inventory management software and any relevant updates. • Promoting a team-oriented environment that fosters collaboration and continuous improvement. • Supporting the team members in their respective roles and oversee that responsibilities of all functions are met. • Oversee time and attendance of the team. • Familiarizing, implementing and controlling where necessary all company policies and procedures onto team members. Performance Improvement: • Proactively identifying operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and initiate projects to resolve these issues. • Conducting effective root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative measures to enhance operational efficiency. • Introducing and enforce internal controls to mitigate risks and improve process integrity. Process Improvement Initiatives: • Continuously assessing warehouse operations to identify opportunities for process improvements. • Implementing innovative solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency. • Leading projects that involve the redesign of workflow, incorporation of new technologies, or changes to supply chain logistics. • Fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, encouraging employees to propose and test new methods. • Measuring the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as needed. • Staying informed of advancements in warehouse management technologies and industry best practices to ensure the warehouse remains efficient and competitive. • Collaborating with IT and system analysts to enhance the functionality and integration of warehouse management systems. Change Management and Improvement: • Assisting in the rollout of updates and changes in the business or product, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure smooth implementation. • Actively contributing to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. • Playing a key role in the implementation of updates and changes in the business or product, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful rollouts and integration. Collaboration with HR: • Working closely with the HR department for matters that require joint efforts between operations and HR, such as recruitment, employee development, performance management, misconduct and compliance. • Collaborating on initiatives that foster employee engagement, growth, and retention. Safety and Compliance: • Ensuring that all operations adhere to legal standards and safety regulations. • Fostering a safety-first culture in the warehouse and conduct regular safety drills and training Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Warehouse Management Matric Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Warehouse Management
