An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking a Plant Warehouse Manager in Tanzania to coordinate the flow of seeds to growers/tollers and to receive/distribute field products into the warehouse and different distribution centers consistent with storage and distribution protocols. Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Management, Finance, Agriculture or equivalent Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role will be required Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management functions is essential Must be able to manage the entire order to payment process using SAP, reporting and procurement tools Must be Fluent in English The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing and maintaining full compliance of ESH and quality protocols in plant warehouses within the country. Being responsible for the physical receipt of raw seeds inventories into production warehouses. Executing the warehouse fumigation and seed distribution according to company procurement policy and values. Developing and maintaining proper stock control and ensuring that stock write-offs due to stock redundancies and damages are kept to a minimum. Monitoring proper stock rotation (First Expiry First Out), proper stock handling and the elimination of storage practices that lead to deterioration of stock quality. Managing consumable materials within the plant warehouse and issuing them to the toller plants. Being responsible for the physical and SAP receipt of all the packaging and chemical consumable materials on-site. Managing the grower receipt file and circulating it to all the stakeholders on a weekly basis. Generating reports for plant warehouse operation and distribution. Coordinating the movement of plant finished goods to the supply chain environment in the SAP system environment. Actively participating in the monthly inventory counts and addressing reconciliation items timely. Liaising with the Plant Controller and the Seed Production Manager, being responsible for providing accurate inventory utilization to enable mass balancing of chemicals and reporting. Preparing and managing all materials in warehoused in such a manner that averts any Product loss hence ensuring no business interruption. Planning and coordinating all incidents reporting in warehouses and leading in the investigations. Developing and coordinating monthly inventory control and cycle counts; ensuring yearly sampling procedures are carried out as per SOP; assisting in fumigation preparation and restacking afterwards. Participating in the yearly budget for relevant cost centre, controlling expenses, and initiating cost savings in all Production distribution and warehouse activities within the country. Coordinating and planning performance, development process, and succession planning for all the direct reports. Developing and implementing good warehousing practices in the plant warehouses within the country.
