Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Warehouse Supervisor that has arisen at Neucoat in Johannesburg. The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager and will have amongst others, the following duties and responsibilities: Supervise the activities of the Dispatch Clerks, Stores & Warehouse Supervisors and Light Duty Vehicle (LDV) Driver; indirect supervision of all warehouse and stores personnel. Check on required daily orders that need to be dispatched and ensuring those orders are dispatched in compliance to Company protocols and standards; and are correctly routed to the appropriate clients. Ensure for all inbound and outbound deliveries that the correct procedures are accurately followed e.g. F.I.F.O. Liaise with other departments, staff groups and customers to ensure anything that is not normal routine e.g. Late deliveries or special requests is communicated effectively. Calculate and compile monthly benchmarking figures to achieve delivery objectives. Ensure quality, delivery and budget objectives are met. Implement and closely monitor all stock movement procedures and administration so as to minimize stock variances. Ensure that stock on racking is controlled, clearly identified and readily accessible so as to facilitate easy stock control. Manage/participate in quarterly stock takes in liason with the Accounting Department. Plan delivery vehicle loading and routing so as to achieve objectives of customer service and efficient vehicle turn around. Oversee the administration proof of delivery documentation. Monitors and tracks the progress of deliveries in addition to ensuring orders are completed with a productivity rate of 98%. Check back order report daily versus stock availability. Supervises document preparations for transfers to other departments/shipping. Ensure that all export orders which are ready for dispatch are communicated to the Exports Department. Oversee housekeeping and maintenance of stores facilities to required standards, to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Ensure safe working practices are applied in accordance with company procedures and legislation. Ensure compliance with company, ISO 9001, SABS and safety standards. (Applicable to all resources as above). Ensure that fork lift truck is correctly maintained, daily inspections carried out and driven in compliance with recognized safety procedures. Maintain gas supplies (FGS & Factory). Become familiar with, monitor and ensure the accurate and efficient processing of all required administrative in accordance with requirements. Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Postgraduate Qualification in Supply Chain/ Logistics would be advantageous 5 years warehouse supervisory experience Ability to work in a team Interpersonal skills Planning and organising skills Problem solving skills Time management Ability to prioritise tasks/workload Attention to detail Apply Now
