Operate water treatment and chemical feed equipment at designated locations: Before painting process (pretreatment), waste water and Basecoat and Clearcoat (system tank, sludge scraper).
Operate water recovery and harvesting for the supply of DI water to all equipment within the paint plant facility.
Performs water analysis and collects samples for preparation, labeling, and shipment to a designated laboratory for analysis.
Works with PLC controls and understands water process treatment design, instruments, and control panels (Line Guard).
Conducts preventative maintenance and calibrates feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintains log sheets.
Maintains the inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of consumables, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary for routine operation as well as special sampling and analysis.
Qualifications:
Tertiary Qualification in Chemical Engineering or related fields essential.
Experience:
Experience in Chemical environment and/or Pre-treatment of paint processes would be advantageous.
2 years experience in Paint preparation systems would be advantageous.
Experience in Water treatment plants and Pre-treatment Facilities.
Thorough knowledge of waste management.
