Wholesale Supervisor required for a reputable FMCG company based in Komani, Eastern Cape
Requirements:
- Diploma and/or degree in logistics and/or supply chain management is advantageous
 - Valid Code 8 drivers license and own transport, 10 or 14 driver’s license advantageous
 - Forklift license is advantageous
 - At least one year working experience in the meat or food industry
 - At least 2 years supervisory experience 
 - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Abaserve
 - Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety
 - Warehouse management systems (WMS)
 - Stock receiving, dispatching and inventory control procedures
 
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach and manage the wholesale employees to meet product volume requirements.
 - Provide ongoing job training to the staff for support and advanced planning.
 - Maintain a safe working culture amongst the wholesale employees through the implementation of company values, policies and procedures.
 - Ensure that all carcasses are scanned and weighed correctly (always).
 - Assist wholesale manager in maintaining high yields of food safety operations on wholesale department to ensure a continuous supply of safe and wholesome meat for consumers.
 - Check and open all chillers and identify stock by dates to be sold to ensure we are following the FIFO system
 - All three scales to be checked daily and weights to be recorded on checklists provided.
 - Roll Call: check if all staff are present vs staff that are out on trucks and report to HR DAILY.
 - Collect load lists and check orders for the day vs stock on hand.
 - Communicate with drivers and jumpers on respective groups regarding trucks loaded and leaving at certain times.
 - Make sure all check sheets are completed daily.
 - Ensure that all orders not invoiced on present day are moved over to the following day.
 - Communicate with management regarding stock shortages / damages.
 - Anything else the company should require you to do
