Reference: CAW005290-MU-1Workshop Foreman - Durban - Kwazulu Natal A well-established and busy dealership in Durban is looking for a qualified and experienced Workshop Foreman / Quality Controller to join their Service Department.Main Purpose of Job: As a Workshop Foreman, your primary goal is to ensure the highest standards of service and repair quality, striving for customer satisfaction. Efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and labour resources is crucial. Supervise and control staff, equipment, and tools to diagnose vehicle faults and deliver top-notch service.Relationships and Personal Activities: Directly responsible to the Service Manager. Responsible for technicians, apprentices, workshop cleaner/s, wash-bay staff, diagnostic and repair equipment, tools, gauges and measuring equipment. Relationships with customers, company staff, manufacturer’s representatives and other representatives’, Health and Safety Officials and training authorities. Objectives and Key Tasks Improved Profitability Customer Satisfaction Health and Safety Limits of Authority Main Job Functions:Staff: To ensure staffs are trained to enable high levels of quality and efficiency. To ensure jobs are fairly and correctly allocated to technicians. To supervise tests and ensure correct use of equipment and document security. Cross departmental disciplines. To ensure all repair orders are correctly costed, operational numbers and defect codes are forwarded to the costing office for pricing. Maintain reasonable control over sublet suppliers, using competent suppliers at the best costing and who can provide timeous delivery. Security: Ensure customer’s property is secure. Ensure all materials and parts drawn from the Parts Department are accounted for. Ensure all equipment and documentation and materials are accounted for. Administration: To ensure progress of jobs through workshop. To authorize consumable and internal parts requisitions. To authorize non-productive time spent on vehicles or in the workshop. To ensure health and safety procedures are observed and always maintained. To circulate new and up to date manuals and literature for new vehicles or techniques. Add fixed rate units to all job cards before submission to the costing and claims department. Workshop Controlling. Minimum Requirements: Qualified Vehicle Technician (Trade Test Certificate) At least 3 years Workshop Foreman experience in a Dealership Brand experience Driver’s license Clear criminal record Stable work track record Literate on Evolve Remuneration:R25 000 basic salary IncentivesPlease note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
