Then this opportunity is your chance to take the wheel and drive success Responsibilities: Lead and motivate a team of workshop technicians, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback. Assign and schedule work tasks based on technician skills, workload, and deadlines. Conduct quality checks on all completed repairs and services to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and customer expectations. Order and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing costs. Identify and implement opportunities for workshop improvement, including workflow optimization and cost reduction strategies. Oversee workshop health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Manage workshop budget and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor costs, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Liaise with customers to understand their needs, explain repairs, and provide accurate service estimates. Manage customer complaints and ensure their timely and satisfactory resolution. Collaborate with the Service Manager on sales and marketing initiatives to boost workshop revenue. Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive repair technologies and diagnostic tools. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications: NQF Level 5 qualification in Motor Vehicle Repair or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Workshop Manager or Supervisor in a busy automotive workshop. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Time management and organizational skills. Excellent computer literacy, including workshop management software. Strong customer service orientation. Valid driver's license.
