As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of workshop operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and service delivery. Your key responsibilities will include: Workshop Productivity & Performance: Implement strategies to enhance workshop efficiency, optimize workflow, and maintain high productivity levels. Service Delivery to Customers: Ensure timely and quality service delivery to meet and exceed customer expectations. Operational & Financial Efficiencies: Manage workshop operations to achieve operational excellence and financial targets. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of approximately 30 individuals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and employee satisfaction. Supply Chain Management: Oversee the supply chain and flow of spares/materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely procurement to support workshop operations. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: A Technical Trade Certification (Fitter/Turner or Millwright) or equivalent qualification. Previous experience leading a workshop of a similar size, preferably working on repair and refurbishment projects (earth moving equipment) Financial Exposure related to workshop figures, targets, WIP etc Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of about 39 (based at multiple sites). Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proven track record in driving operational efficiencies and achieving targets. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
