To provide efficient, effective, acceptable and profitable solutions of container repairs and refurbishment services to clients or owners equipment, as per the specifications and/or requirements agreed to. To provide an effective and efficient refurbishment blasting and painting of container services to meet with the required practices, standards and/or profitability with a minimum profile specification as listed here to. Planning and scheduling all authorized containers for repairs according to clients shipping requirements and according to the principle FIFO policies. Manages the available manpower to adequately meet the business commitments of the workshop/refurbishment operations. Ensuring that appropriate delegation and or allocation of repair work to the artisan/operators according to skill and abilities. Ensuring that quality control measures are undertaking on all units repaired and or refurbished to the standards as determined or set out by the owners or client. Ensuring that production targets are set, achieved and maintained in order to remain profitable i.e. quoted hours are not exceeded on any of the repairs and estimates authorized. Ensuring that there are no wastages on any material and or consumables and accounts for same where there are discrepancies. Ensuring that the workshop and the refurbishment plant adhere to the scheduled working hours as per conditions of employment act/policy. Ensuring that the workshop facilities and or equipment are of sound and safe conditions in order to carry out container repairs. Ensuring that the time sheets that are filled in by the artisan/operators are correctly and accurately entered and completed of the time allocated as per productive days at work. Maintains and controls security requirements for workshop/refurbishment equipment and valuable assets. Solves and resolves difficult man power operational problems within the workshop refurbishment plant. Minimum of 5 years workshop repairs experience. Minimum of 3 years supervisor experience. Must have a Code B/EB driver's license. MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. The position requires the individual to possess good managing and container repair skills as well as be hard working, reliable, methodical and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines. The incumbent must be accurate and have good analytical skills. The appropriate person must have good communication skills and be able to speak, read and write English. Apply Now
