2 x Permanent child and youth care worker positions are availble at Lerato CYCC in Meyerton. 1 x day care worker and 1 x night care worker (live-in). Candidates must be able to fully communicate in Akrikaans. Children are placed in the care of the incumbent and he/she is responsible for the following: - Supervision and control of the children. - Creating a homely atmosphere, preparing, and serving food. - Clothing, washing, and ironing services. - Basic first aid. - General religious guidance. - Utilisation of leisure time. - General household cleaning. - Transport of children. 1) Qualifications / Training - Appropriate training and Grade 12. - Qualification in Childcare. (BQCC-certificate) - Training programs as indicated and identified during evaluations. 2) Experience - Experience in Childcare. - Experience in household services. 3) Personal Characteristics - Good health: physical and psychic. - Communication skills. - Supervisor skills. - A love for children (educational and developmental attitude). - Management Skills (planning, organizing, leading, controlling, reporting). - Maintaining confidential information about the children in her/his care. 4) General - Residence: compulsory. - Must have a valid driver's license with a professional driving permit. - Be prepared to work after hours when required. 5) Performance Evaluation: - Minimum Standards of Childcare. - Work behavior and performance. R5k to R10k per month CTC
