Description Join a thriving Beverage Distribution company located in Cape Town. They are currently looking for an Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a company that highly values expertise, professionalism, and innovation in the beverage industry. Responsibilities: Focus area 1: Business Partnering Business Partner to, and operational Finance support, to the business functions (Manufacturing, Logistics, Commercial and support services. Delivering accurate data and business crucial insight and analysis. Focus area 2: Control environment Responsible for the implementation and subsequent maintenance of minimum control standards. Design and implementation of key business processes. Focus area 3: Reporting Timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Reporting. Co-ordinate all financial timelines, deadlines, and standard deliverables. Compliance with Month End Reporting routines and Reconciliations. Focus area 4: Performance Management and cost containment. Work with the business to track financial performance and provide financial information, forecasting and analysis to help guide decision-making and set strategy. Support and challenge the business to continually ensure that its strategies align with financial goals. Support the business with Cost analysis and Budget Control reporting and develop and track key performance metrics. Qualifications/Requirements: B. Com degree in accounting or equivalent. 2 Years experience in a similar role. Completed articles prefered. FMCG background will be to your advantage. Work requires continual attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Must be detail-oriented, have strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, vendors, and senior management. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerBI. Familiarity with ERP systems . Skills/Competencies: Good communication and interaction skills with people on all levels in the organization. Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to stick to deadlines. Strong ability to multitask and prioritise. Ensuring that administration of work is kept accurate and updated at all times. Willing to be challenged and work well within a team.
