Accountant (maternity cover) - Johannesburg
To assist the Group Financial Manager and the Senior Accountant, where relevant and be accountable for maintaining accurate financial information required for monthly reporting (end-to-end) for the various companies and be able to provide accurate explanations and analysis for any variances or changes.
To be able to trouble shoot issues; find resolution and improve processing efficiencies within the various companies.
To perform reviews over the work of the assistant account and any other junior members of the tea and to provide mentorship to the individual/s.
To provide the rest of the business with insights and required support on financial and accounting related matters.

- Assistance in the management of day-to-day activities of the finance reporting function for the relevant companies.
- Assist with defined ad hoc projects according to business
- Running of month-end processes within the operational entities
- Preparing and review (where required) all SARS returns including Value added tax, Provisional tax payments and Annual Income Tax Returns and ensuring that any follow up audit requirements from the Receiver are addressed in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
