The company is currently looking for a Accountant to join the finance team. Job purpose summary: Plans, administers and reviews the supply, storage and distribution of stock, materials and goods used and produced by the organization. To update and maintain the financial records and systems of the organization. Assists with the monthly closings and account analysis and supports the Financial Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance Department. Accounting Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Auditing Knowledge of measuring raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the procedures over the effectiveness of the company's internal controls over financial reporting. Stock Control – Knowledge of using inventory systems to organize stock control in accordance with workplace requirements including identifying inventory and stock control systems in use in the workplace, stock counts, and reporting discrepancies or variances. Duties and Responsibilities Ensuring all Journals are processed Reviewing Creditor's Recons Ensuring Staff is processing on time and meeting deadlines Compilation and submission of management accounts monthly Balance Sheet Recons done monthly Ensuring All Provisions are done in a monthly manner Invoicing customers and sending out statements to Customers Following up on payments from customers Submission of VAT and Statutory Returns Loading of salaries and Wages Need to Manage the team Costings and confirmation of Boms being loaded on the system Signing off Purchase Orders Updating cash books weekly Calculations of commissions based on payments made Involved in stock Takes monthly Creating Stock codes and Boms on the system Assists with audits Senior Certificate with Mathematics and Accounting B.com / Hons in Accounting or Finance Previous experience in a similar position Previous working experience in a Manufacturing environment is essential Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel) Experience in managing a team Market related
