Job Summary: We are looking for an Accounts Officer. The Accounts Officer is responsible mainly for accounts payable and partial account receivable, month-end close and day-to-day running of financial accounting functions including balance sheets reconciliations, assistance with management reports, and other supporting functions. Job Description: Capturing between 20-50 Invoices in the Accounting System every morning between 06:00 AM to 15:00 PM Chicago Time, This is a high Priority. Verify Accounts Receivables ( A/R ) From Our Grinders ( Customers ) and Deposits made by the customers through the Company. Prepare and send all Invoices created on a daily basis to our Grinders and respond to any Inquiries made by the customers ( Grinders ) regarding the invoice. We invoice anywhere between 80-150 invoices daily and expect to communicate information regarding invoices to our vendors. Customer follow-up (if required) for any outstanding documents Identify missing information and follow up as required Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory frameworks at all times Accounts Officer will gather and send received, weight info. All received weights for the days invoiced loads are sent to packers ( our suppliers ) for their counter- checking and if claims are needed Requirements Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field, CPA is preferred At least 3 year experience in US Chicago accounting, and bookkeeping Experience using Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft PowerQuery and other similar software Experience using logistics and purchase order software Experience in Logistics and Supply Chain is a plus Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Bookkeeper Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel and office management software Has proactive approach to business and technology Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills Critical Thinker - someone who can think on their feet and has an inherent systematic approach to identifying and solving problems Skills and Personal Attributes: Organised, accurate and with attention to detail Must be a self-starter Must have the ability to be hands -on Ability to improve systems and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial data Well-developed analytical and problem -solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, writing and, editing Experience dealing with key stakeholders Ability to meet deadlines with a “whatever it takes” attitude Advanced computer literacy Apply Now
