Accounts Payable Controller - Durban
Main job function
The role of the Accounts Payable controller involves providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organisation. Their role is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. A typical Accounts Payable clerk performs day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities & Functions:
Full function creditors.
Capture of expense invoices on DAX
Liaise with Controllers regarding file related expenses.
Perform weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly creditors reconciliations.
Handle all creditors queries.
Resolve all queries timeously.
Do own electronic filing.
Capture payments made on the DAX system.
Capture EFTs on the banking system.
Update cash flow on a daily basis.
Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Maintaining historical records.
Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance.
Handling Petty Cash and ensuring Petty Cash balances monthly.
Monthly accruals.
Continuing to improve the payment process.

Any ad hoc task that may be given by Management.

Matric
