Administrative assistant (Admin and accounts) - Durban

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts and Admin Assistant to join our team. T

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts:
    • Process accounts payable and receivable (e.g., entering invoices, payments)
    • Maintain general ledger accounts (data entry)
    • Generate basic accounting reports as needed
    • Securely store and manage accounting documents
  • Administration:
    • Answer phones and emails in a professional and courteous manner
    • Manage office calendar and schedule appointment
    • Compose and proofread business correspondence
    • Organize and maintain filing systems (physical and digital)
    • Order office supplies and equipment
    • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (or relevant coursework)
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (familiarity with bookkeeping a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
