Job Description

A 5* Game Lodge in the Eastern Cape seeks a well-presented Receptionist/Reservationist with strong communication skills to fully and competently manage front office procedures from a Reception and Reservations standpoint. You will also relieve as a Duty Manager when senior managers are off site. The Reservationist will report directly to the Lodge Manager. Whilst on shift, the Duty Manager will have a team of staff reporting to him/her and will be required to ensure efficient and effective communication between the various functions within the Lodge.

Seeking some back of back-of-house administration experience Able to file alphabetically. Logical, methodical working methods. Strong Administration skills. Great Telephone Manner. Strong Coordination and organizational skills required. Well experienced with Hospitality Reservations and all that this entails. Guest Welcoming and Hosting. Management of Billing, invoicing and payments and handling of bookings.

Guest experience
a. Preparation of room collateral for new guests
b. Coordination of guest experience and activities with guides
c. Guest check In & Out and billing process
d. Co-ordination of childrens activities
Housekeeping
a. Presentation of rooms and common areas
b. Administration and control of all room and Housekeeping stock
Marketing
a. Assist the Lodge Manager with representation of the Lodge and restaurant at appropriate forums
b. Interaction with tour operators and media representatives
c. Participation in marketing and PR events
d. Maintain the companys digital image profiles on on-line tour operator platforms and ensure information contained on these platforms is accurate and contemporary
e. Maintenance of room collateral
Lodge activities
a. Conceptualize and implement innovative "Guest Activities" including culinary courses and the Introduction to SA wine tasting.

Qualifications

Relevant Hospitality Qualifications are advantageous but not essential if well experienced within a similar role in an upmarket establishment.

Skills

Strong and versatile all rounder. 4/5* Game Lodge experience ideal. Stable track record. OWN TRANSPORT AND VALID LICENSE ESSENTIAL.
