Job Description

Luxury 5-star Game Lodge situated in the Eastern Cape is seeking a Field Guide and Lodge Coordinator couple who will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the lodge while providing exceptional experiences for international and local guests. The Field Guide will oversee the care of the game lodge for esteemed guests, conducting game drives, ensuring guest satisfaction, and assisting the management team. Meanwhile, the Lodge Coordinator will coordinate key roles and responsibilities within the lodge, ensuring professionalism, personalization, and uniqueness in all processes.

HE Ranger/Field Guide:

Ensures the game lodge is well taken care of for esteemed guests.
Assists the current management team for a Game Lodge.

SHE Lodge Coordinator:

Coordinates key roles and responsibilities within the lodge.
Ensures professionalism, personalization, and uniqueness for international and local guests.
Assists the current management team for a Game Lodge.

Qualifications

HE Qualifications:

FGASA NQF2 (Level 1)
Lodge Maintenance Assistant
Game Drive Ranger/Tracker
Safari Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator
Property Maintenance Assistant
Lodge Operations Assistant
Service Excellence Specialist

SHE Qualifications:

Hospitality Diploma or similar
Front-of-House Administrator
Lodge Maintenance Coordinator
Stock Management Assistant
Guest Satisfaction Coordinator
General Administration Assistant

Skills

HE (Key Responsibilities):

Assist with the maintenance of the lodge and reserve area.
Assist with guest check-in and check-outs.
Conduct Game Drives and assist as a tracker.
Oversee and attend to guest satisfaction at all times.
Assist with game capture when needed.
Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of the safari vehicles and reporting any issues for repair or maintenance to the management team of the lodge.
Assisting in general property maintenance such as:Fence maintenance,
Road maintenance,
Building maintenance, Boreholes.
Procurement and collection of supplies and stock.
Re-establish and maintain the vegetable garden.
Assist management and lodge personnel in the daily tasks/operations on the property as and when instructed and needed.
Maintaining a High Service ethic and standard across all aspects of the Lodge.
Assist in implementing and maintaining systems and procedures in line with the company guidelines.

SHE (Key Responsibilities):

Hosting Guests throughout their Lodge experience from arrival to departure which includes receiving and check-out of guests.
Efficient assistance with front-of-house and office admin.
Room and lodge checks including light bulb, Wi-Fi, appliances, and
water checks. Maintenance issues to be reported to the Reserve Manager.
Ensuring that the swimming pools are clean and clear as well as the gardens are neat and tidy.
Assisting with set-up of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Assisting in set-up of boma, tree house lunch, bush dinners, special drinks stop, and other requirements.
Serving guests.
Assisting with stock counts.
Maintaining a High Service ethic and standard across all aspects of the Lodge.
Assist in implementing and maintaining systems and procedures in line with company guidelines.
Oversee and attend to guest satisfaction at all times.
Assisting with any other general admin duties required within the lodge and as per the requirement of the management team.
