Job DescriptionOur client, an exclusive 5* Game Lodge seeks a well-experienced and qualified Senior Chef to fully manage the kitchen operations, from Menu Planning, Stock Control, Stock Ordering, Food Cost Management, Hygiene Maintenance, Guest Relations, Preparation and Presentation of beautiful and delicious, aesthetically-pleasing. plated meals for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The lodge caters exclusively for in-house guests (no walk-ins) and the restaurant accommodates a maximum of 20 pax at a time which allows for extra attention to detail and quality meal and service offerings. Previous experience in an upmarket dining establishment and eager and happy to work in a remote Game Lodge setting required. OWN TRANSPORT AND VALID DRIVERS License is a Must as the staff accommodation is set slightly away from the lodge.
QualificationsRelevant formal Culinary Qualifications (Ideally through an esteemed culinary academy) ideal.
SkillsWe are seeking a candidate passionate about creating delicious meals that are aesthetically pleasing. The owner of the lodge is very particular about the cuisine standards and is a bit of a foodie herself so enjoys a Chef who is equally as enthused about great food, prepared well and presented beautifully. OWN TRANSPORT and Valid Driver's License Required. Willing and able to work and live in the bush.
