Assist Bakery Manager to create and maintain a fully functioning, profitable Bakery Department and promote excellent customer service and communication. Full management of bakery department and staff.

What you'll do
This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
- Meet customer needs with a smiling face and remember that the customer always comes first. Always make our customers know that they are important
- Manage all customer questions and concerns.
- Ensure that Bakery staff adheres to all customer service requirements.
- Planning the daily/ monthly operations of the Bakery Department.
- Receiving stock and ensure cutting, packing, and merchandising is up to SPAR standards and Erarite Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in the sales and marketing of the Bakery Department
- Scheduling of the staff ensuring adherence to scheduling procedure.
- Induction and training of new staff members to the expected level.
- Ensure compliance of the staff daily duties planned.
- Daily management of staff with regards to delegating task, motivation, and discipline
- Always ensure departmental cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ensure that staff comply with the hygiene standards prescribed by SPAR.
- Communicate productivity, staffing or training issues, system improvement needs, and other relevant information to the HR Office or Store Management in a timely, thorough, and professional way
- Perform all administrative functions related to this position
Requirements

- Clear criminal record

- Experience: Shift Supervisor
- Within 15km from job
- +/- 3 years Baker/ Confectioner experience
- 5 Years Store Experience
- Honest and trustworthy
- Accurate with figures
- Good administration skills
- Be able to operate independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to delivery and quality
- Good people management skills
