Our client, a well established short-term insurance underwriting manager, specialising in niche products is seeking to recruit an Afrikaans speaking Business Development Manager/ Broker Consultant to join their dynamic Fourways, Johannesburg team. Acquire new broker partners and complete the broker application process Develop and maintain relationships with insurance partner's BDMs Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with brokers. Grow broker portfolios in terms of GWP and number of policies incepted monthly Dealing with queries and providing information for sales and service issues Identify new potential brokers and opportunities for business growth Conduct Product Training with Brokers – new and ongoing training Scheduling and attending meetings and broker site visits Keep detailed records and complete administrative tasks as required Prepare monthly reports for management Develop marketing strategies to increase profitability of the business Any other related duties as required by Management from time to time. Facilitate sales process for brokers Meet targets set by management Actively participate in marketing and sales initiatives Maintain FAIS requirements in terms of Fit and Proper Requirements where required High degree of honesty and integrity as required by the FAIS Act Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans Matric/Grade 12 Qualification or equivalent A minimum of 5 years' broker consulting experience in the short term insurance financial services industry Experience in maintaining and growing a profitable short-term insurance portfolio and creating client focused solutions and long-lasting relationships RE 5 advantageous FAIS credits for Short Term insurance advantageous Own car and valid driver's license Knowledge, skills, and competencies: Technical product knowledge with regards to short-term insurance A thorough understanding of the market, customers, products and services available
