Business Developer: Capital (1x Gold, 1x Platinum) The “gold” position will be looking after areas including (but not limited to) gold mines outside of JHB, Potchefstroom, Welkom and up to the Northern Cape. The “platinum” position will be looking after the Western limb, including (but not limited to) mines in the Rustenburg, Brits, Hartbeespoort areas. REPORTING TO : Capital Sales Manager Management of Key customer relationships Developing solutions to solve their mining production and safety problems by profitably selling the company's capital equipment and service products fit for their purpose. To ensure all aspects of customer relationships are maintained in good order through continual interaction, relationships and network building by solving queries, operational issues and product support. To commit to, develop, grow and achieve established sales targets, understand the customer buying cycles and forecast future sales. Thoroughly and with confidence, know and sell the products, their application and changing market driven technologies. Agree to and accept the executive responsibility with accountability for allocated key customer relationships, maintaining effective and reliable long-term relations. Successfully achieve established sales targets and goals, including margins with accurate achievable forecasts. Assume the lead project management role in developing and managing service and product support interventions including product trials and performance tests etc. Know the products thoroughly, their applications, features, benefits to develop sound value propositions. Visit underground operations to review the products in operation, determine the customer satisfaction and production performance according to their expectations, offer solutions for improvement and future innovation. Identify and rapidly respond to business opportunities that align with our strategies, goals and objectives. Develop and build a network of customers and other people that provide accurate and meaningful market information and statistics. Understand the customers' business dynamics through study of site conditions, published reports and information, mineral product demand and pricing and other information Understand opposition pricing, relationships, sales and service practices, any advantages they offer over our goods and services. I.e. pricing, delivery time, quality, availability etc. Bachelors degree or relevant trade Technical knowledge combined with sales skills • Minimum 3 years' experience in the Mining Industry • Essential: must have experience in capital equipment sales, mobile machinery technics, their mining application and commercial competence R50 000 – R60 000 Apply Now
