Business Development LOCATION - Remote A Business Development Co-ordinator (BDC) is responsible for collating firm matters and submitting them to various ranking agencies in the legal fraternity. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Collect and archive matter/case summaries and all related information for use in pitches/RFPs, biographies, legal directory submissions, website, internal and external newsletters, annual reviews, press releases, etc. Draft and complete awards/rankings submissions and submit new significant matters to ranking agencies for league tables and other credit/acknowledgment. Legal500 Chambers IFLR Best Lawyers Africa Legal Awards Conduct market analysis, industry, and competitive intelligence research reports. Develop information to assist lawyers with BD, relationship-building, and brand awareness initiatives. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Successful Business Development Co-ordinator possesses a combination of interpersonal, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. They are highly motivated, details-orientated, and results-driven individuals. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (What is required to perform the Essential Duties?) Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field. Strong administrative skills. Experience in a legal environment is advantageous. Proven experience in business development. Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills. Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
