Our client, a manufacturer that supplies into Africa, is looking for a Category Manager to: Ensure governance within the assigned portfolio and development of category/commodity strategies through application of TCO analysis, stakeholder engagement and the associated risks. Oversight and execution of the required procurement processes i.e Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Tenders Ensuring that all sourcing strategies are successfully executed through active collaboration within the procurement team and at the operating level. Co-ordination of specified projects; e.g. Procurement Digitization (Procurement Portal), Engineering Spares Inventory optimization etc Key Performance Areas: Category management – strategic raw materials Effective use of data & analytics within procurement Own & coordinate key projects Category / commodity performance indicators Supplier performance BBBEE Requirements: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or Engineering. Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage 5 years' experience in manufacturing / heavy industry / FMCG with Category Management, strategic sourcing, procedure to pay process, general manufacturing process understanding, & manufacturing exposure
