Chef De Partie - Cape Town City Centre

As a Chef De Partie on a cruise ship, the main responsibility will be to oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauces, vegetables section. The Chef De Partie reports to the Sous Chef, and he will ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard, and in accordance with company standards and policies. This position is responsible to create the best culinary experience for the guests, offering them an outstanding service, through the preparation of a large variety of international menus. Works in compliance with the company operating standards and follows the Public Health and food safety procedures. Supervises the food display, ensures that food is properly stored, sets up the workstations and keeps it clean at all times. Responsible for the stock control and inventory. Coaches, trains, and motivates team members to reach departmental goals. Ensures batch cooking and preparation process practiced eliminating waste.
