Coating Machine Operator - South Africa
Duties of the Operator includes: Set-up Machine. Operate Machine, first off checks and plotting results. Prepare the equipment and measuring instruments needed. Ensure that equipment is working correctly, verify the expiry date of calibration and recheck the periodical calibration. Identify the correct substrate to be machined. Check substrate visually and record defects into the system. Check the dimensions of substrates using manual gauge and record defects. Ensure continuous feed to the process. Collect samples of major defects for discussion at daily quality meeting. Inform the Team Leader of all abnormal situations. Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Team Leader. Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered : Matric Maths to Std 8/Grade 10 level Minimum of 1 year’s working experience Experience ideally obtained in a manufacturing environment Previous Machine Operation Experience essential Accuracy and high attention to detail Able to operate a computer for data input and retrieval purposes Good communication skills Able to read and accurately interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedures manuals Able to follow strict operating procedures Quality and continuous improvement orientation Able to work well in a team environment
