CNC Programmer /Setter - Milling

Qualified Artisan
Programming on Mastercam and on the machine
Fanuc controls (Heidenhain will be an advantage)
4 to 5 Axis

Responsibility

Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and
Programming mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part
Analyse drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed
Set up and operate CNC equipment as
Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometres and callipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced
Read Instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within specified
Wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times
Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
To ensure all work pieces that are produced conform & are ready for the next operation, this includes fettling, de-burring, etc.
Work on computerised CAD system
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Ensure that a constant clear line of communication is maintained with operators and setters more importantly during shift change overs.
Ensure that the production in monitors and evaluated on the machine that has been programmed to ensure minimum
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the workplace and at the
