We are seeking a dedicated Japanese Auditor to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of advanced natural language processing models. As an auditor, you will be responsible for evaluating annotated datasets that will be used to train and improve generative AI models. Your meticulous attention to detail and linguistic expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our models. Key job responsibilities Quality Assurance: Review and verify annotations made by fellow annotators for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines. Provide constructive feedback to maintain annotation quality. Domain Expertise: Gain proficiency in understanding and annotating texts across various experiences, organizations and more, to support the creation of specialized models. Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the annotated data by performing regular quality checks, identifying and addressing inconsistencies, and maintaining a high standard of data cleanliness. A day in the life You will evaluate labels and annotated data for various projects across our organization, some projects will last longer than others, but expect a variation of different evaluation requests month to month. About the team Our team is passionate about human motivation and behavior and uses machine learning, classification algorithms and scalable platform services to have a cross-org impact every day. We evaluate user research, customer experience knowledge, data, and cross-Amazon Moderation expertise to ensure other teams think about customer trust. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Cape Town, ZAF Basic Qualifications Candidates must have completed a Matric/Grade12/NQF4 or equivalent or higher qualification/s Comfort and experience communicating and influencing across job levels with both internal and external partners Can deep dive on audited results to find root causes Must be exceeding quality targets and productivity targets for the last 3 months Not currently on attendance probation or any conduct warnings in the last 3 months Strong understanding of linguistic concepts, grammar, syntax, and language variations. Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. In both English and Japanese Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in using annotation tools and software. Ethical and professional approach to handling sensitive data and maintaining confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in multiple languages English and Japanese, both spoken and written, with a keen eye for linguistic nuances. Prior experience in linguistic annotation, data labeling, or similar roles is a plus. Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning concepts is advantageous.
