Debt Collections Agent - South Africa
We are looking for a reliable and self-driven Debt Collector to join our very new company Your main duty will be to contact debtors of our clients and arrange for the payment of the debt. You will be responsible for contacting debtors and negotiating payments. You will be the main person responsible for recovering the money owed in as little time as possible. This is a very new company (with a huge client database) therefore we are looking for a person who has debt collection (call centre) experience and is able to wok on their own and take initiative. Other Tasks and Responsibilities: Plan course of action to recover owed money Locate and contact debtors Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans Handle customers' questions or complaints Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions Build trust with debtors Update account status and database regularly Comply with and understand all legislation relating to debt collection in South Africa Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable At least 2 years of experience as a debt collector in a call centre environment Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines Knowledge of relevant legal requirements Good knowledge of MS Office and databases Excalibur experience is a MUST High school (Matric) completed
