Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and dedicated collection agent to assist our business with the recovery of outstanding payments from debtors. In this role, your duties will include communicating with customers via telephone and/or alternative methods - SMS, WhatsApp and email, negotiating quality recurring payment plans with debtors, and enacting payment plans that eliminate debt. Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency, complete understanding of collections software systems and computer literacy Business Acumen, customer profiling capability of understanding customer payment history Strong communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate with customers over the phone and all other capabilities, such as - SMS, WhatsApp, and Email, negotiating payment plans or settlement agreements, or simply explaining the terms of a debt. Persuasion and negotiation skills (Adult to Adult conversation), the ability to be able to persuade customers to pay their debts and/or make arrangements to pay them off over a reasonable affordable time period, which may involve using persuasive language or negotiating with customers to find a solution that works for both parties. Organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize their workload accordingly. Attention to detail, the ability to be detail oriented. Conflict management, demonstrate the capability to employ common sense and integrity. Dispute resolution, the ability to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively. Collection policies and procedures, have a clear understanding of key policies and procedures. Call quality assurance delivers a high standard of adherence -98% to call scripts. Behavioral and Personal Characteristics: Have a strong passion in achieving results aligned to targets. Have a strong commitment to time management. Proficient in managing stress and resolving conflicts. The ability of being self-led and disciplined. Strong focus on achieving results. Capable of inspiring and motivating others Specifications: Essential (Must have): Grade 12 Debt Collections experience. As a Collection Agent, you will leverage your expertise to recover outstanding debts while ensuring compliance with the Debt Collectors Act and adhering to the principles of POPI. Being registered with the Debt Council offers a distinct advantage. Salary offer: Basic Salary, R5500 - PLUS: Basic Salary monthly incentives up to R6500 - guaranteed monthly based on individual performance. Monthly commission on rand value collected. Monthly incentives on paid Settlements and Electronic payments. Monthly and Annual incentives for top performance.
