Demand Planner - Cape Town Region

A world-class organisation is looking for a Demand Planner. The main purpose of the role is to order stock from suppliers, requested from customers, in order to satisfied and fulfil customer needs while maintaining constant customer service engagement. Your key responsibilities will include, but is not limited to: Actively engage in the end-to-end Sales and Operational Planning Process, with focus on demand & supply planning. Support the Material Planning process as well as the execution of the material plan and finished goods volumes for the production team. Ordering stock from suppliers and principals to fulfil customer demand and maintaining service levels. Ability to provide stock analysis to drive profitability and maintain optimal stock levels. Resolving issues where stock does not arrive on time in full. Ensure that the monthly production schedule is aligned to forecasts to ensure delivery in line with sales requirements. Work in conjunction with the Planning, Logistics and Sales to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements. Maintaining all documents relating to supply chain processes in accordance with shipping and quality requirements. Communicating informed risks within the business to key stakeholders. Managing the forecasts and co-ordination of raw materials and production for various third-party / contract bottlers. Supporting ad hoc forecasting and planning processes. Skills & Attributes Attention to detail. Strong analytical skills Time management Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate externally with suppliers and manage internal stakeholders. Requirements: 3-year bachelor's degree / 4-year diploma supply chain management, logistics or similar is essential CIPS / CPIM would be advantageous. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a planning environment. Demand planning, Sales and Operational Planning management, supply planning. Shipping and materials planning would be advantageous. MS Office competency, highly competent in Excel Experience with planning/demand/forecasting tools.
