Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Foreman Industry: Mining Location: Gauteng, South Africa RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Foreman to oversee and lead a team of mechanics within their mining operations in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all diesel mechanic activities to ensure the efficient maintenance and repair of heavy-duty mining equipment. Responsibilities: Supervise a team of diesel mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of sites vehicles, fleet and TMM's Assign tasks and responsibilities to mechanics, prioritize work orders, and ensure that work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner. Schedule and conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and uptime of equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, develop repair plans, and effectively communicate and implement solutions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment history. Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, regulations, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Essential Requirements: Valid diesel mechanic trade certification. Relevant qualification Mininmum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic Foreman or similar role in the mining industry. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team is essential Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the mining industry.
