Reference: NES017854-EV-1A multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm has an opportunity for an experienced E&I Field Engineer in their KZN Branch. They are within the Petrochemical Industry. The E&I Field Engineer will provide field specific technical leadership and support to the E&I design team including conducting field audits, managing contractor budgets and schedules, and developing and maintaining client relationships.Requirements: Industrial and Petrochemical Industry will be advantageous. Be responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) checks of Contractor Quality Control (QC) documentation, physical verification that the installation is built to the Design Engineers intent and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Other activities will include commissioning assistance of electrical and instrumentation systems and project handover duties. A qualification in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or a related field (Minimum Electrician / Technician). Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in E&I field installations, testing and commissioning. Knowledge of LV, MV, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, PLC’s, field instrumentation. Experience with codes and standards including SANS and IEC. Experience working in a project team, including managing budgets and schedules. Excellent communication skills. Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
