We are looking for an Electrical DC Technician to join our team with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience as an Electrical DC Technician in Battery Charges, Battery Maintenance and VSD Programming experience. The roles and responsibilities are: Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environmental regulations in all work performed Perform scheduled & corrective maintenance on UPS systems & motor drives in power plant Log completed work on work orders & provide concise and accurate feedback describing the work performed Communicate findings and any concerning results in a professional manner Diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, or components using test equipment and tools to locate the cause of the problem Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure plant is available. Reviewing electrical connections to ensure proper application of electrical equipment. Installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning VSD units Testing, & repairing damaged VSD units. Responding timeously to equipment breakdowns during working hours & on call outs. No criminal record UPS/Battery backup systems experience VSD setup expert 2 years' experience in DC systems Knowledge and skills: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. 2 years' experience in industrial plant over 500MW Good computer skills which include professional use of email, Word, Excel, & web applications Excellent customer service skills Problem Solving & root cause identification skills Advanced troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn & adapt quickly to work tasks & systems of work Ability to remain focused while working in a stressful environment Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Flexibility and mobility walk huge plant & climb stairs daily.
