Our client who is one of the most competent partners in power electronics in Southern Africa, designing solutions for power stages in power electronic equipment is seeking an Electrician to join their team in Irene ABOUT THIS POSITION We are looking for a competent Electrician who will perform duties on high, medium and low voltage electricity transmission & distribution equipment and systems (focusing on Substations, Transformers and Switchgears) as well as other functions as stipulated below. RESPONSIBILITIES Wiring and building of panels. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, electrical and mechanical drawings etc. Working on breakdowns Fault detection, dismantling, and manufacturing of parts Repair of machines. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS Red Seal Electrician qualified A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Mechanical and electrical aptitude and good math skills Work independently Good communication abilities Reliable and organizational skills Strong work ethic Computer literate Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations Must have driver’s licence and own transport WORK EXPERIENCE Min 3 years’ experience after qualification AC and DC Equipment (Traction DC and AC substations) and (LT and HT) experience Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment
