Customer Service Resolve all client queries /complaints initiated by the client and ensure that the relevant SDM is advised of same. Action canvassing where required. Visit clients with SDM and resolve problems/educate clients whenever necessary. Check daily booking summary list and rectify errors where required. Ensure VIP client requirements are met. Action container departments containers pick up queries and ensure that the ‘holding emails' are sent if required. Monitor all abandon cargo notifications, ensuring that all UAC procedures are followed without exception. Keep email ‘inbox box' clear and always updated. Ensure that where required Manifest Corrector instructions are issued timeously by the channel and liaise with the Durban documentation department where required. Process refunds for vessel name changes by issuing CPA. Perform after hours Navis duties as scheduled. Bookings & Quotations Quote rates in consultation with the sales department and confirm to clients on email with copy to SDM manager, Client Services Manager and Assistant Manager Check booking confirmations before they are emailed to clients, correct as required and sign. Action account / demurrage queries timeously where required. Communication Keep departmental management advised of notable developments, i.e New Clients, exceptional bookings, cancellations, dissatisfaction, and other client problems. Ensure that the Client Services Manager/ Assistant Manager are kept fully informed of any problems or potential problems.
