Reference: JHB001949-MB-1Our client in the Retail industry (Pretoria) is in urgent need of a Financial Manager with a strong Retail background (Understanding inter-branch transactions, stock etc.) . B.Comm or similar degree with at least 5 - 10 years exp. as a FM in combination with 3 years Management exp. Minimum Requirements 5 to 10 Years Working Experience 3 to 5 Years Management Experience B.Comm Degree or similar qualification Extensive experience in the Retail industry Experience with Intercompany accounts (Inter branch transactions) Willing to work overtime on month end and stocktake Duties and responsibilities amongst other: Full Accounting function up to Trial Balance Produce and distribute monthly management report and agreed time scales Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the General Manager Finance and functional heads Monthly comparison and reporting based on Budget versus Actuals SARS correspondence, audits and preparation and submitting of returns Manage Accounts department of Shared Services - 8 people Drive efficiency with the team and set up controls for shared services Implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures, and systems across all teams Manage the payroll system and provide fund scheme and ensure that payments are made to individuals, SARS, Provident fund and Medical Aid providers to set timetables Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting Statistics SA returns (monthly, quarterly, half yearly & yearly) Maintenance of accounting system allocations, reconciling of General Ledger, Creditors, Debtors and Reviewing and implementation of accounting procedures, standards and controls. Setup of Project accounting, bill of materials, procedures, standards and controls. Ad hoc administration task Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliation, debtors, creditors, and inter-company accounts Personality trades: Passionate, energetic and enthusiastic in learning and applying through creative problem solving Strong attention to detail High level of curiosity and a resourceful self-starter Mindset of continuous improvement Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills in support of organizational change Flexible team player Hard worker that able to work overtime over month end, stock takes, budget processes and projects Market Related - Market Related - Monthly
