Normandien Farms (Pty) Ltd, requires the services of a suitably qualified Fitter/Millwright Mechanical to be based in Piet Retief. Perform investigations, diagnose, and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery. Ensure uptime of the mill is on the required standard and equipment adheres to safety regulations. Mechanical maintenance of two Wetmill production lines, kilns, and boilers. All Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLC, Electrical and Mechanical work, and fault finding - ensuring minimum downtime in the event of machine breakdowns. To do preventative maintenance and repair daily and assume responsibility of all maintenance work, and setup and maintain preventative maintenance systems. Performing maintenance activities and plant inspections as well as alterations, modifications, and installation of equipment. Grade 12 Qualified Fitter and turner/Millwright with trade certificate 5 years' experience Experience with, chains, conveyor belt splicing, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic experience will be beneficial and experience on a variety of sawmilling equipment would be a further advantage. Must be able to use initiative to fault find /solve problems. The candidate must be available to work overtime and do standby. Able to work shifts. Computer Literate
