Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Gas Field Technician
Code 8 Drivers License
Ability to use an instrument for gas analysis
MS Office knowledge
Operations and Maintenance
Day to day operations of gas fields and generators at assigned sites in order to achieve maximum electrical output.
Maintenance of gas field and plant used in the operation of LFG schemes subject to training & competency.
Gas tests and gas balancing of the gas field
Assistance with gas field new builds and maintenance of current gas field system.
Objectives are to maximise electrical production and reduce operational costs by taking responsibility (where this is economically beneficial) for the operation and maintenance of as much plant and equipment as possible. Key to this will be our ability to operate and maintain our own generating sets and gas processing plant.
Reducing dependency on contractors, where it is economically prudent.
Field Support of other Technicians as required.
Utilisation of the companys operations and maintenance procedures, manuals, record keeping and stock control systems.
Working within the constraints of the companys H&S and quality systems.
Compliance and implementation of company environmental protection procedures with a proactive approach to maintaining, monitoring, reporting and auditing.
Commitment to training to enhance knowledge and skills with regard to environmental protection and materials.
Conduct air emissions monitoring
Deal directly with spillages using pollution prevention equipment
Ordering of spares and control of stock.
Any reasonable task required by the management in the exercising of its goals.
Project Involvement:
Assistance in cleaning and maintenance of generator sets and acceptance of units at hand-over to Operations.
