Graphic Designer/DTP Operator - Gauteng
We are looking for a skilled meticulous technical individual with a deep understanding of finished art, visual communication, digital, printing and production processes. The role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take creative work to finished pre-press and digital states. The desktop publishing artist is responsible for translating a brief to art files ready to go to print or be placed online. The successful candidate will further provide a supportive role and work closely with the creative and brand teams to produce work across all brand requirements.2) Primary responsibilities: Prepare digital files suitable for proofing and printing, check preliminary and final proofs for errors and make necessary corrections.Edit graphics and photos using editing software (CC).Digital Finished Art capabilities. Preparing and finalizing assets for Digital Asset Management Tool (AssetHub) uploads, social media and other digital media requirements.Create/convert various types of files for printing or for other media using computer software (CC).Ensure that all material is appropriately archived and is easily retrievable.Implement projects from concept through to completion by planning effectively.Ensure a quality product that achieves the desired message as well as meeting all the technical specifications is delivered.Be able to work across print and digital platforms.Stay up to date with software and tools to continuously improve the quality of outputs.DTP, finished art skills and qualifications:Graphic design degree/diploma or equivalentMin 3 – 5 years’ experience as a DTP/finished artist design/advertising/retail print and digital industry.Fluency in current graphic design practices and software, such as (CC) Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, After Effect etc.Fluent in print production and finished art.Web/Digital knowledge highly advantageous.Strong production skills, including knowledge and ability to provide solutions within the constraints of print and digital.Understanding of, and experience in, corporate identity management and branding, layout, colour theory and typography in both print and digital media.Have transport to visit printers, pass colours and engage with production requirementsPersonal competencies:Use conceptual and analytical skills to interpret verbal or written briefs and make excellent production decisions.Communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, to a wide range of internal and external clients.Work flexibly with both internal and external clients by being approachable, listening carefully, informing fully and being patient.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients by being committed to their needs (Teamwork is essential).Manage projects with composure.Meet deadlines and take responsibility for the quality and timelines of agreed deliverables. https://protool.gumtree.co.za/external-link-browser.html?urlaHR0cHM6Ly9lbi16YS53aGF0am9icy5jb20vY29vcG9iX19jcGxfX18xMzIwXzU1OTIyX180OTc/dXRtX3NvdXJjZT1ndW10cmVlJnV0bV9tZWRpdW09ZmVlZCZrZXl3b3JkPQ&jid1785705&xid1320_55922
