Role purpose : To promote and sell services i.e Film fleet, Truck Rental, Logistics, unit gear and equipment Minimum requirements: - Matric - At least 5 years relevant working experience SKILLS REQUIRED - Able to complete forms related to own working area - Can complete administrative procedures with necessary directions and systems at disposal - Able to apply basic Health and Safety procedures relevant to own work functions under direct supervision Role & Responsibilities: Operational o Managing the financial performance and margins of each branch on a national basis. o Ensuring high levels of customer service are offered. o Provide effective communication on operational performance, service level's and associated costs. o Controlling of all fixed, variable costs, movable and non-movable assets. o Manage staff, drivers and van assistants and their well-being. o Strive to improve on distribution solutions and service offering to all clients. o Ensure fleet is maintained as per manufacturer‘s standards, and a professional image is displayed. - Financial Management o Compile budgets for all branches, striving for improved financial performance. o Managing of all Branches, Profit and Loss statements on a monthly basis. o Ensure that all costs are controlled correctly in relation to budgeted figures o Manage and measure all variable costs such as: fuel, RM, sub-hires, salaries, wages and other costs o Manage and reduce accidents. o Measure and manage fuel consumption in order to optimize fuel usage. o Ensure that all procurement orders are validated and approved within the allocated time frames. o Ensure that all financial targets are mat. - Customer Service Management: o Ensure high levels of customer service are achieved, adapting to the dynamic needs of our customers. o Provide professional feedback on operational, distribution performance. o Build and create a sustainable business relationship with all clients. o Strive to constantly improve the client’s distribution process/ model in order to yield better efficiencies and to reduce the client's distribution costs. o Formulate new and different strategies with the client in order to model distribution patterns/ simulations around the client's current business model. o Conduct monthly review meetings including presentations in order to measure performances. o Management of human Capital o Ensure that all staff is daily managed, lead, coached and mentored. o Ensure that all staff adheres to the Company policies and procedures. o Ensure that the staffs lea'e (both staff and wage) are controlled as per company's policy. o Guide, train and empower Staff to grow within the organization and to their full potential. o Conduct performance appraisals for each staff member bi annually, ensuring goals are agreed upon and staffs are given realistic and stretched targets o Maintain discipline within the business unit. o Fleet Management / Unit Gears / Generators : o Ensure the fleet / unit gears / generators are maintained to the company policy, safe and adhere to the national traffic act. o Monitor trends, investigate all accidents / incidents derive strategies to minimize related risk and cost. o Ensure that all staff understands the policies relating to tyre management. o Ensure your fleet is kept clean, branding in line with company policy and assets cared for. O SALES o Acquire new business. o Source Sales leads by analysing niche markets and routes. Through these leads, establish contacts and liaison with companies within these markets/routes. o Target potential clients and follow up by contacting them. o Determine whether the potential client requires our services, schedule & confirm an appointment where necessary. o Visit clients to explain the services we offer and ascertain the client's requirements o Evaluate the profitability of taking on the business. o Present estimates and proposals, both virtually and on the form. o Negotiate rates within a given parameter. o Attend to incoming telephone etiquette and enquiries from potential clients. o Facilitate processing of credits applications. o Obtain the credit application from the client, & submit to Head Office for approval. o Obtain any further information required by the National Credit Manager in granting the credit. o Visit or telephone existing clients o Discuss all aspects of the services provided. o Establish whether the clients requirements have been met and discuss problems or concerns regarding the service provided o Liaise with the relevant departmental managers regarding client requirements or problems, and resolve problems according to the client’s satisfaction. o Report back to clients on the company's progress or conclusion with regards to their requirements or problems. o Inform clients of any changes relevant to their business i.e. customs procedures, rate changes, etc. o Report back to the source of the sales lead on the outcome. o Comply with the management of the quality management system. o Be aware of procedures. o Understand and adhere to the job descriptions and work instructions, o Establish the requirements of the client and conform to them. o Interrupt the process and implement corrective action. o Recommend changes to processes and/or to the quality system. o Ad hoc - additional duties and responsibilities related to the position which will be delegated by the superior. o To bring on new VTR and Film Fleet business o Achieve targets in line with those set o Do monthly feedback reports - General o Market and attain new business for your divisions and the company. o Attain the full wallet spend within current customer based. o Caring / entertaining of clients on a regular basis. o Conducting workshops and training for staff. o Ensure that good housekeeping standards are practiced throughout the Branches o Attain feedback from the clients concerning their perception of the company's value offering to them
