Hospitality Sales Co-ordinator - South Africa

You will excel in this role if you have excellent interpersonal relationship skills, networking skills and out-of-the-box problem-solving abilities. Strong communication, excellent organisational skills and selling skills coupled with a strong guest orientation will result in success within this role. Experience and Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within a 5-star luxury property Hospitality experience would be advantageous Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal Must be computer literate Be able to re-assess and enhance source market focus and STO Structure Ability to perform competitive benchmark studies, follow market trends, and provide input to sales strategies aligned with the vision of the business, to maximise opportunities and mitigate risk Excellent product knowledge and upselling skills Must be able to adhere to rate and offer information distribution deadlines Be able to conduct training and coaching team members on selling, up-sell and cross-sell techniques Sustainable quality and attention to detail Strict confidentiality of customer information Personal and professional integrity of the highest standard Sales CRM system experience Inherent Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing Valid driver’s license COVID-19 considerations: We encourage all staff to be fully vaccinated Main Responsibilities : Represent the business in the market Be the principal liaison and point of contact for 3rd Party Distributors (Wholesale, Retail agents and Consortia) in South Africa Take responsibility for positioning the business and its services and offerings, in the marketplace with the intention of maximising occupancy at the highest possible rate, driving REVPAR, including developing existing markets and securing new business as per the Group’s “narrow and deep” approach Ensure that 3rd Party Distributors receive timely deliveries of up-to-date Service, Rate and Promotional/Campaign information for inclusion in marketing materials Attend trade shows and events within South Africa to promote and sell the hotel portfolio and its services Manage the cost of distribution - ensure correct commission is awarded to 3rd party distributors Be primarily responsible for organising and hosting site inspections Assist in defining and executing the Sales strategy for the future Review and assess Accommodation and sales budget expense Ensure that the Sales CRM system is kept up-to-date and accurate Ensure that all Sales Activity reports are produced accurately and timeously Ensure that all collateral is correct, updated and user-friendly for trade Accuracy and completeness of supplier contracts Manage Trade Marketing on (but not limited to) consortium platforms, social media engagement strategy, and e-blasts and identify other opportunities Follow all departmental and hotel, health, safety and security policies, processes, procedures and standards Apply Now
