Hotel Group Night Auditor Location: Cape Town Salary Type: Monthly Start Date: March 2024 We are seeking a meticulous and proactive individual to join our client's team as a Hotel Group Night Auditor in Cape Town. Qualifications: Minimum Matric or equivalent qualification Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel Skilled and trained in Roomraccoon PMS Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages advantageous Previous Night Audit or Night Manager experience is essential Excellent organizational, communication, and administrative skills Demonstrated leadership abilities, including suggesting and implementing procedures for financial accuracy Full Front Office Experience required, including restaurant and bar cash-up and end-of-day procedures Knowledgeable in guest relations, crisis management, cash handling, auditing, and online bookings Ability to make bookings and reservations Basic accounting knowledge Honest person with sober habits Strong communication skills Responsibilities: Respond promptly to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies Reconcile accounts (debtors) and balance the cash drawer Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts Maintain accurate financial and revenue records Assist in preparing forecasts and audits Summarize nightly operations and list follow-up tasks for management Process invoices, transactions, room charges, refunds, etc. Post room charges, taxes, and other relevant charges to guest accounts Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts Verify the accuracy of all transactions and postings in the PMS system Print and file reservations for the next business day Verify account postings and balances Ensure correct room rates are applied to guest accounts Monitor promotional programs, track room revenues, and occupancy statistics Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information Execute end-of-day procedures diligently If you possess the necessary skills and experience to excel in this role, we invite you to apply with your updated resume and cover letter.
