HR Consultant - South Africa
An HR Consultancy firm in the Boland is seeking a customer-orientated individual with strong collaborating and influencing capabilities to join the team. As an HR Consultant with us, you'll have the chance to learn and grow in your professional field whilst providing professional HR services to a diverse range of clients. Responsibilities include: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and project deliverables. Manage the end-to-end talent management process, including sourcing, interviewing, selection and onboarding. Employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling. Implement and monitor performance management systems to ensure a high-performance culture. Develop and/or conduct regular HR policy reviews and ensure compliance with labour regulations in South Africa. Ensure client compliance to regulatory requirements such as employment equity. Provide guidance and support to clients on HR-related issues. Coordinate, develop and facilitate training and development initiatives. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in HR management. General business development and consulting. Minimum requirements for the role: An Honours degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Previous work experience as an HR Generalist is advantageous but not a requirement. An understanding of South African labour laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Afrikaans and English), with the ability to build positive relationships at all organisational levels. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in handling complex HR issues. Good report writing skills. Experience as a disciplinary hearing chairperson is an advantage.
