Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement company & Group HR Management strategies and projects Manage Talent Management and Recruitment in the business – Working alongside the business to acquire talent to support business overall culture, values and goals Implement performance reviews, performance coaching and counseling Identifying training needs and suitable learning interventions and providers. Devise an overall training plan for the business in conjunction with all roleplayers and ensure efficient execution of the training plan. Creation, implementation and maintenance of HR Management Systems, Policies and Practices. Responsible for the efficient execution of all HR administration tasks and providing HR input to payroll. Ensuring staff proficiency in Time and Attendance administration, payroll policies, and overtime regulations is crucial for the smooth running of the department. Oversee day-to-day remuneration affairs within the organization, including payroll management, new employee onboarding, salary adjustments, terminations, and related processes. Responsible for managing the payroll function of the business. Oversee and finalise the monthly salary input to payroll. Manage and facilitate employee relations issues in the business, ensuring correct execution of disciplinary, grievance and consultation procedures and sound advice to Line Management and employees in compliance with relevant legislation Responsible for all Industrial relations – Wage Negotiations, managing union relations and managing all CCMA cases. Protect the business as far as possible from any risk of Industrial action. Ensure that the business is complying with the requirements of the Employment Equity Act and Skills Development Act, including timeous and accurate submissions of annual reports Assist with execution of Group Transformation goals as well as monthly tracking admin. Implement and assist with onboarding in the business, including induction and orientation programmes Provide accurate and timeous HR Management information and reports as required and is responsible for all statutory reporting to relevant external organisations. Ensure an effective HR Management Support Service is delivered that meets the requirements of the business by constantly reviewing processes and practices, and obtaining feedback from the business. Manage and monitor the operational expenditure budget of the HR Department. Manage the Training budget of the business and track plan vs actual. Ensure and encourage a culture of cross functional alignment with other departments from both an individual, team perspective throughout the business. Provide quality HR support and advice to all role players in the business. To handle all HR issues with the utmost professionalism and to maintain confidentiality at all times To actively intervene in all circumstances where it is felt that the interest of fairness and justice is not being served Education & Experience Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification in HR/Industrial Psychology Min 5-8 years experience in a Generalist HR Operations capacity, with at least 3years at HR Manager level. Experience in a Homecare/FMCG/Retail environment advantageous Core Competencies Relationship Building : Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across multiple professional levels, and has comfort working with senior leadership Resilience : Able to cope in a high pressure environment and bounce back quickly from setbacks. Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving and critical thinking ability Agile : Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and to quickly adapt to changing needs and priorities Judgement : Uses good judgment and discretion and able to manage ambiguity Skills and Abilities Solid understanding of local employment legislation and policies Excellent verbal and written communication Good excel skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting and data analysis & reporting Experience with presenting at Manco level Apply Now
