This is an opportunity to work with one of the most exciting brands in the world overseeing a compact, yet widespread national retail store network with a large online business. We are looking for a young dynamic, passionate HR Manager with a good understanding of the retail industry to be responsible for managing the overall recruitment process, training coordination, monthly payroll preparation, and other HR disciplines to ensure that our team members are supported and valued every step of the way. Our ideal candidate will have experience in retail and play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce and ensuring the smooth integration of talent into our business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Recruitment: Management of the overall recruitment process. Posting ads and managing budget for ads on online portals. Screening applications and shortlisting candidates. Conducting interviews. Coaching store managers on how to conduct first interviews where required. Conducting background checks and references. Managing the offer process. Ensuring continuous pipeline of talent. Continuously improving the recruitment process. Liaising with stakeholders on their recruitment needs. Managing the onboarding process for candidates. HR duties Staff check ins and individual / personalised development plans with their direct reporting lines. Managing staff group scheme membership. EE committee management and follow through. Training committee management and follow through. Exit interviews and management of the exit process. Preparation of documents for ad-hoc Department of Labour visits. Liasson with our labour consultants on various ongoing regulations and issues. Managing the central repository for all contracts and legal documents. Involvement in performance management process for personnel. Training Liaison, coordination and overseeing the management of personnel training with internal trainer and an external sales trainer and ensuring traction and progress. Monthly Payroll Preparation: Preparation and checking of time sheets received from the branches. Preparation of the exports for payroll. Checking leave applications and medical certificates. Checking all sick leave and sick notes. Ensuring that group scheme enrolment is up to date. Liaising with Directors for final review and authorisation. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources Experience in the retail industry. Demonstrated ability to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for physical retail stores. Proven experience in training coordination, and payroll preparation. Knowledge of South African labour laws and regulations. A good understanding of the retail industry, particularly in managing HR functions within retail settings.
