IT and Administration Coordinator - South Africa

Salary R 15 000 to R 25 000 depending on experience

We are looking for a dedicated person who is an all-rounder that takes initiative often. This person needs to have good knowledge of IT and admin. If this sounds like you then you are a perfect match for this role!

Knowledge and skills:

  • Must be computer literate with Intermediate Excel Skills.

  • Must have good interpersonal skills and good telephone etiquette as will need to speak to clients on the phone.

  • Must be self-motivated to complete all tasks.

  • Must also be able to work as part of a team.

  • Needs to be able to follow specific instructions and processes but also be able to trouble shoot when issues arise.

  • Needs to be flexible in terms of working overtime to complete tasks, especially around month end and when the job requires.

  • Must have a can-do attitude and good work ethic.

  • Must be someone who takes initiative.

  • Must know where to research solutions to problems facing the business from an IT perspective.

  • Must be mature and responsible in attitude towards work.

  • Must be a good communicator in terms of providing relevant, salient, and timeous feedback to management.

  • Must be a leader in the making.

  • Must be honest and diligent.

  • Must have a desire to learn and grow into the role, as well as grow and improve as a person.

  • Must be good at admin and organised.

  • Must be able to manage time and priorities.

  • Must be able to be innovative.

Skills that are not pre-requisites but would advantageous:

  • SQL knowledge and ability to write queries.

  • Any knowledge of programming languages, such as VB/C# and Linux will be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of Office 365, MS Azure and managing users and licenses

  • Knowledge of power automate, power apps and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of MS Teams and built in functionality.

  • System admin, networking and desktop support.

  • How to build a PC or laptop

  • How to set up and manage FTP sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with management re status of tasks and Month End processes.

  • Follow procedures and complete all checklists timeously.

  • Generate and retrieve month end reports from clients dispensing systems.

  • Set up new users work-stations and access

  • Will be able to fill the gap if managers are off sick or on leave.

  • Liaising with service providers and managing all IT issues with them until finalised.

  • Managing company hardware requirements and maintaining the asset register.

  • Procuring hardware from suppliers when required.

  • Managing phone system and logging calls when there are issues.

  • Maintaining IT process documentation

  • Creating and maintaining user accounts on Office 365, power apps and Azure

  • Taking responsibility for back-ups and taking them offsite.

  • Creating new users on the system and network.

  • Monitoring business WhatsApp line (for when we go live with it).

  • Administering company WhatsApp groups, e-mail groups and shared mailboxes.

  • Monthly and annual budgets for hardware, software and other equipment

Back-up to IT Admin to:

  • Create and transfer script files on pharmacies dispensing system via VPN/FTP or TV.

  • Investigate ways to automate this process

  • Request script files from vendors when needed.

  • Load script files into System via claims loader.

  • Load payment files onto the clients system via FTP.

  • Reconcile reports to client reports
